Just in case you haven’t been paying attention to our Facebook and Twitter feed for the past few days let me fill you in. We will be playing with The Blackout later next Month. That’s May the 20th to be exact, at a little place called 53 Degrees.
I for one am very excited about this. I have seen the Blackout on no less than Three occasions, once when they supported lostprophets on the Start Something tour, again when they toured the ‘We Are The Dynamite’ album, and then once more when they toured they toured the ‘Best in Town’ album last year. I know some of the other guys saw them at download in 2009 as well. Hopefully this time I will get to watch them from the side of the stage rather than in front.
We currently have tickets on sale for 12.50 and it’s very first come first served.
Of course in my more fanciful moments…
Wait I know what you’re thinking, “you! Have a fanciful moment, don’t be daft, I have read these blogs before and they are nothing if not down to earth well balanced considerations of a genuine fellow not taken towards flights of fancy, you Mr Maclastname, you my good man have never had a fanciful thought come to the fore of your overlarge curly haired head in your life.”
And reader you would of course be correct. These Blogs are never sarcastic, silly or tongue in cheek. But damn it if my serious tendencies haven’t been eroded at the prospect of playing with one of my favourite bands!
So in my more fanciful moments this is the start of a glorious career that would make the people I went to High School with jealous forever. Obviously the Blackout are going to love us SO MUCH, that they decide to take us on their next tour. Off the back of which we eventually become successful multi millionaires and invest the money in a spaceship plated with gold that allows us to be the first band to go on a Interstellar tour to Alpha Centuri .
Or maybe it will just be damn good night. I hope it is.
